Operations of the Peace Council are funded entirely by contributions and grants. The International Committee for the Peace Council is recognized by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization. The complete financial records of the International Committee for the Peace Council are available for inspection at its offices in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
NOTES TO FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, 2005 and 2007: In-kind contributions of $145,000 are included as "contributions and grants" in 2005 and consisted of professional services for advertisements and public service announcements. This amount is also included as fundraising expenses in 2005. In 2007, Hwacheon Couunty, Korea paid for travel and accommodations for the Peace Council's meeting at the Korean DMZ, but neither this contribution nor the corresponding expenses are included in the financial statements.
